Atmospheric system in the Caribbean could turn into tropical storm

Washington, Jun 30 (Prensa Latina) An atmospheric disturbance moving over the southwest Caribbean Sea could become a tropical storm today, according to the US National Hurricane Center (NHC).

According to the NHC report, at 8:00 a.m. local time, the system was centered near latitude 12.0 North, longitude 73.3 West, moving westward at 31 kilometers per hour, and this rapid movement is expected to continue through the night.

On the forecast track, the system will move across the southwestern Caribbean Sea today through Friday, cross over southern Nicaragua or northern Costa Rica tomorrow night, it will emerge over the eastern Pacific Ocean next Saturday.

Conditions appear favorable for its development, the NHC said, it will become a tropical storm as it slows over the southwestern Caribbean Sea with a 90 percent chance of formation over the next 48 hours.
