The event includes a varied program comprising 75 premieres grouped in 23 fiction, erotic and horror works, among others, said Lilian Morales, Film Programming Director at the Cuban Institute of Cinematographic Art and Industry (ICAIC, in Spanish).
For children, the event provides 28 films grouped in six cycles, as well as 3D movies.
On the other hand, the Director of the Cuban Cinematheque, Luciano Castillo, said the Charlot Hall at the Charles Chaplin Cinema will pay tribute to U.S. filmmaker Blake Edwards in July and August.
Entitled: A Camera for the Scribe, Cuban intellectual Virgilio Piñera will be honored on the occasion of the 110th anniversary of his birth.
There will be also a program goal-oriented to the great contemporary sagas, by displaying all parts of the films: Star Wars, The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings, Castillo said.
