The organization said in a document that these people died in the last hours after riot police fired rifles to disperse the demonstrators.
According to the organization, six demonstrators were killed in the city of Omdurman, near the capital, one in Bahri and two others in Khartoum.
On several occasions, the Sudan Doctors Committee condemned the use of live bullets and tear gas by government forces against demonstrators.
Sudan, where a military coup d’état against the then president, Omar Hassan Al-Bashir, took place in April 2019, has recently been shaken by popular mobilizations demanding the return of constitutional order and the establishment of a civilian government.
The dissidents also opposed a military uprising led by General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, which was perpetrated at the end of October 2022 and which deposed the previous ruling Sovereign Council, which sought to ensure the transition to a democratic government.
