Cuba reports 43 new Covid-19 cases and no deaths

Havana, Jul 4 (Prensa Latina) Cuba on Monday reported 43 new Covid-19 cases, two patients are being treated in intensive care units and no deaths due to complications related to the disease in the last 24 hours.

According to the daily report from MINSAP, all molecular biology laboratories in Cuba made 2,274 PCR tests in real time on Sunday to detect the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus.

Of 167 active cases reported nationwide, 165 are clinically stable, while two patients are being treated in intensive care units: one in a critical condition and one who is seriously ill.

At a press briefing on television, MINSAP added that 17 patients were discharged after recovering from the disease, so the total number of recovered patients rose to 1,097,412.

So far, Cuba has accumulated 1,106,167 contagions since the outbreak of the pandemic in the country in March 2020.

According to the official report, the death toll remains at 8,529.
