Three earthquakes reported in Russia’s Kamchatka Peninsula

Moscow, Jul 5 (Prensa Latina) The Geophysical Service of the Russian Academy of Sciences on Tuesday reported three earthquakes located in the course of an hour off the eastern coasts of the Kamchatka Peninsula.

The scientific entity told the Sputnik agency that the first earthquake, with 4.7 magnitude, was recorded at 09:51 hours, local time (GMT+12), the epicenter was located 11 kilometers from the village of Ust-Kamchatsk and the hypocenter was at a depth of 18 kilometers.

The second telluric movement, with 5.2 magnitude, was the most perceptible and was registered in the same place at 10:21 hours, local time, and its hypocenter was at a depth of 27 kilometers.

Meanwhile, the third tremor, with 4.0 magnitude, occurred at 10:27 hours, local time, the Geophysical Service informed.

The authorities of the peninsula stated that there is no information on material damages or loss of human lives.
