The president talked to members of the Casa del Caribe (House of the Caribbean), which just celebrated its 40th anniversary, and commended there the cultural resistance of the celebration of the 41st edition of the International Caribbean Festival.
At the graveyard, Diaz-Canel talked to scientists and workers who participated in the creation of vaccines against the pandemic, some of whom are visiting the provinces that had a relevant involvement in those clinical trials.
There were several Working Heroes of the Republic among the attendees, headed by Dr. Eduardo Martinez, BioCubaFarma president, who received the Mpaka that symbolizes the Casa del Caribe International Prize, to recognize his contribution to saving Cuban lives.
