The diplomat told Rossiya 24 channel that they sent a note to the technical secretariat of the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW), informed about the provocation plans at Nikolaevka, and warned that Ukrainian nationalists are planning provocations in other places such as Nikolaev and Kharkiv.
Shulguin added that this international organization received all the information and was spread among the member States.
On Tuesday, the head of Russia’s National Defense Management Center, Mikhail Mizintsev, said that Ukrainian soldiers are preparing a provocation with chloride in the self-proclaimed People’s Republic of Donetsk to accuse Russia’s Armed Forces of indiscriminate attacks with dangerous chemical substances.
Mizintsev said that Moscow already warned the “civilized West” about this incident and the United Nations and the Red Cross International Committee.
He also argued that these actions by the Ukrainian army are frequent, and it spreads false information about the presumed Russian atrocities on national and western outlets as well as Internet platforms and resources.
On February 24, Russia launched a military operation in Ukraine after the authorities of the self-proclaimed People’s Republics of Donetsk and Luhansk requested assistance to repel Kiev’s escalated attacks and heavy bombing.
