As reported on his Twitter account by the general director of Bilateral Affairs in the Cuban organization, Emilio Lozada, the parties ratified “the invariable will to continue implementing the important consensuses reached.”

The diplomat described the meeting as fruitful and emphasized that the representatives reaffirmed their mutual support in international forums.

Cai makes a working visit to Cuba with the purpose of promoting bilateral ties.

The day before, the diplomat toured the Fidel Castro Center, a public institution in this capital dedicated to investigating and disseminating the thought and work of the historical leader of the Cuban Revolution.

Cuba and China will celebrate on September 28 the 62nd anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties and strengthen ties in economic and commercial spheres, as well as scientific-technical cooperation.

The Asian country assured that the ties inaugurated in 1960 marked an important milestone and that the commemoration constitutes a good opportunity to take stock of the experiences and plan joint steps.
