Cultural and creative industries in the Caribbean Festival

Santiago de Cuba, Jul 7 (Prensa Latina) The first Cultural and Creative Industries Workshop in the Caribbean began today in this city, as part of the fourth day of the Fire Festival, which will end next Saturday.

The event, which will conclude tomorrow, focuses on the creation of a platform to promote dialogues around the value of the different creative fields and the evaluation and measurement of their impacts in pursuit of sustainable cities.

Sponsored by the Casa del Caribe, host of the 41st edition of the International Festival, the Elvira Cape provincial library and the Siboney Studios, of the Music Recording and Editions Company (Egrem), the meeting reinforces the creative condition in music recently awarded to the city.

The links and synergies between the cities with this notable condition in the region are one of the purposes of the Workshop, during which the contribution to the national economy of the performing, plastic and visual arts, audiovisual and literary, musical expressions will be valued. and theatrical.

Likewise, the contribution of design, artistic training, books and publications and the production and edition of music will be taken into account.

With face-to-face and virtual format, the conferences and other presentations will also allude to the business network between state companies, self-employed workers and micro, small and medium-sized companies.

The appointment is added to the one addressed by The Carnival of Diversity. Organization, management and value of carnivals and festivals in the Caribbean and Europe, in which the President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, took part.
