The meeting was chaired by director of that department, Juan Antonio Fernandez Palacios, who highlighted the need to strengthen this type of dialogue. “Communication, in its broadest sense, is a powerful tool of foreign policy and public diplomacy,” this official wrote on the Twitter account of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MINREX).

Fernandez added that this explains the existence of this important unit within the structure of the foreign ministry.

The MINREX Group of Cultural and Academic Relations tweeted that this meeting will contribute to lay the grounds for a better working relation, based on the proper work of the press and communication.
