Local television reported that the latest incident occurred last night when a 60-year-old bystander was killed in a shooting in the central city of Lod.
According to the police, the citizen was with a woman and a minor when the shooting broke out.
In the middle of last year Abraham Initiatives, an organization dedicated to promoting relations between Arabs and Jews, launched the hashtag #Arab_Lives_Matter on Twitter, similar to the Black Lives Matter movement in the United States.
More than a hundred members of the community were killed last year in Israel.
A survey carried out last March revealed that 94 percent of Arabs living in Israel have suffered at some point or another racism and discrimination from the Jewish majority.
According to research by the Center for Religion, Nation and State, 69 percent said they were subjected to racism and discrimination in public places, while 41 percent did in academic institutions.
