Bolivian Deputy Foreign Minister Freddy Mamani explained that this proposal is the result of the parties’ willingness to collaborate, which, as an initial step, will formalize the twinning of these municipalities, two of the main tourist destinations of these countries.

ABI news agency reports that the air bridge will strengthen the tourist flow of the Salar de Uyuni and the archeological centers of Cusco such as the world-famous Machu Picchu, according to Mamani, thanks to the work of the technical teams and experts involved.

The deputy foreign minister stressed the interest in Bolivia as a tourist destination expressed by diplomatic representatives from several countries, such as Russia and France, who visited Uyuni on the 133rd anniversary of the foundation of that municipality.
