On this day we will discuss barter trade, which is a serious issue for Afghan traders, we will also discuss the crossing of personnel across our common border, trade in materials and coal, the official said.

For its part, the Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment (ACCI) announced that Islamabad is seeking to expand its trade with Kabul.

Pakistan is trying to increase imports from Afghanistan. In this regard, there are some technical problems in border regions like Wagah, Karachi, Ghulam Khan, Spin Boldak and Torkham, which create obstacles to trade, said Khanjan Alokozai, a member of ACCI.

According to figures released by that body, Afghanistan’s exports to Pakistan exceeded $300 million in 2021.
