Song Se Il, director general for Africa, Arab Region and Latin America of the DPRK Foreign Ministry, predicted the defeat of this campaign waged by Washington against Cuba, which intensifies a year after the failure of the White House plan to subvert the internal order of the Caribbean country, he said.

This is part of Washington’s attempt to manipulate once again the issue of human rights aimed at pressuring a change in the political system in Cuba, which is facing difficulties due to the reinforcement of the illegal US blockade in the midst of the health crisis, according to the official.

Song expressed his country’s unwavering support for the struggle of the Cuban people against U.S. interference maneuvers and reaffirmed solidarity with Cubans in defending the island’s principles of anti-imperialist independence and socialism.

He strongly denounced the determination of the United States to intervene in the internal affairs of sovereign nations under the pretext of alleged human rights violations.

He reaffirmed that the United States lacks the moral authority to question other nations.

During the last 6 years, in the United States more than six thousand people have been killed by police shootings, and this year more than 6,300 children have died as a result of crimes with firearms, he indicated.
