According to the agenda released by the Workers’ Party (PT), its presidential pre-candidate for the October elections is participating this Wednesday in two public events in Garanhuns and Serra Talhada municipalities.
On Thursday, Lula and former Governor Gerardo Alckmin, his running mate, will have an event in Recife, capital of the territorial division, where they will conclude their trip by attending a public rally at the square of the Basilica de Nossa Senhora do Carmo.
The PT plans that the presidential ticket holds a big event in Brasilia during the convention of the Brazilian Socialist Party, on July 29.
Previously, on June 16, Lula fulfilled a program of political and social duties in Natal, capital of Rio Grande do Norte state, also in northeastern Brazil.
After the national presentation of the coalition in Sao Paulo on May 7, Lula and Alckmin have held meetings to strengthen the alliance in Minas Gerais, Rio Grande do Sul, Rio Grande do Norte, Alagoas, Sergipe, Bahia, Rio de Janeiro and the Federal District.
To date, Lula leads all opinion polls for the next election, in which ultra-right President Jair Bolsonaro intends a reelection.
