Kazakhstan and Saudi Arabia agree to boost economic cooperation

Nursultan, Jul 24 (Prensa Latina) Kazakhstan's President Kasim-Yomart Tokaev and Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman agreed to expand cooperation in economic matters, the Kazakh presidential press service reported today.

“The parties confirmed their intention to significantly increase mutual trade, and in the near future the governments will intensify work in this direction,” refers the statement released after the leaders’ telephone exchange.

During the talks, Tokaev assured that Kazakhstan is ready to offer special conditions and a wide range of preferences for Saudi investors in a number of promising areas of mutual interest.

In his turn, bin Salman considered that the relations between Nursultan and Riyadh are at a good level, with a wide scope for strengthening cooperation and development.

The Saudi crown prince accepted Tokaev’s invitation to visit Kazakhstan.
