Given the expectations created in the Eurasian nation after the registration for use of the Cuban Soberana Plus vaccine against Covid-19, the deputy of the Caribbean island Yuri Valdes explained to his Belarusian counterparts the efficacy data of this drug in the fight against the pathogen.
The deputy director of the IFV and member of the drug development team explained that, under the guidance of the regulatory bodies of both countries, led by Olga Jacobo on the Cuban side and Dmitry Vladimirovich on the Belarusian side, progress is being made in a process that should result in concrete examples of vaccines and other pharmaceutical products registered in Havana and Minsk.
For his part, IFV director Vicente Verez assured that the Soberana 02 immunizer is probably the best vaccine to prevent Covid-19 in children.
As part of the exchange, the Belarusian parliamentarians once again expressed their opposition to the impact of the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States on Cuba for more than six decades.
The meeting was also attended by the Cuban ambassador to Belarus, Santiago Pérez, and the IFV Commercial and Business specialist, Mario Davidog.
