Cohiba cigars to celebrate 55 years in Cuba

Havana, Jul 29 (Prensa Latina) The international corporation Habanos S.A. said that it will celebrate the 55th anniversary of the creation of the Cuban premium cigar brand Cohiba from September 7 to 9.

The official report adds that after a year of waiting due to the health situation caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, the celebrations will be held.

Cohiba, the corporation’s most emblematic and prestigious brand, will celebrate its 55 years of history and success with a program full of surprises for fans of what is considered the best cigar in the world, the message insisted.

The agenda for the Cohiba 55th Anniversary Event will begin on September 6 with an exclusive press reception at the Grand Packard Hotel in the capital.

The welcome evening, which is expected to attract around 1,000 people, will take place on September 7 at the El Laguito Protocol Room.

On September 8, the cradle of Cohiba cigars, the famous El Laguito Factory, will be visited, and the Gala at the Pabexpo Fairgrounds on September 9 will be the grand finale.

The press release notes that it will be a celebration full of luxury, exclusivity and passion for Cohiba cigars, where the 2020 and 2021 Habanos Awards will be granted in their different categories.

In addition, the event will culminate with a very special humidor auction, the proceeds of which will go entirely to Cuba’s public health system, according to Habanos S.A.
