Palestine accuses Israel of trying to impose colonial narrative

Palestina-cancilleria-Israel-colonia
Ramallah, Jul 29 (Prensa Latina) The Palestinian Government on Friday condemned Israel's decision to withdraw the license of six Arab schools in occupied East Jerusalem, an action it considered another step in the strategy to judaize the city.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate stated that the move seeks to impose the Israeli curriculum and colonial narrative at schools to Jerusalem citizens.

The action is a new episode in the attempts to annex Jerusalem and the struggle against Palestinian history, it stated.

For its part, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Jerusalem claimed that Tel Aviv wants to forcibly impose its curriculum after failing to convince students and parents.

The Ministry of Education also questioned the order, recalling that it violates one of the basic rights guaranteed by the international conventions, covenants and agreements.

Israeli Education Minister Yifat Shasha-Biton on Thursday announced that she had issued instructions to cancel the permanent operating licenses of six schools in East Jerusalem under the excuse they teach an anti-Israeli discourse.
