The official said that it is a 38-year-old patient who “is on his way out” and was treated at the Dr. Gilberto Gómez Maza hospital.

He added that in this hospital located in Tuxtla Gutiérrez, a clinical sample was taken and sent to the laboratory where it came out positive, but the disease is already over and did not represent any problem.

The Ministry of Health indicated that on July 20, the patient started with symptoms of fever, general indisposition and the appearance of a rash on his face, so five days later he went for medical attention to the aforementioned hospital, where the corresponding sample was taken.

He commented that 12 direct contacts of the patient have been identified and are being followed up by doctors of the institution.

The man arrived at the hospital for care and evaluation, was not hospitalized and is at home under medical supervision.
