Mexico applied first dose of Covid-19 vaccine to children

Mexico City, Aug 2 (Prensa Latina) Mexico applied the first dose of Covid-19 vaccine to 62% of children between 12 and 17 years of age and 30% of children between five and 11 years of age, the Ministry of Health reported.

Regarding the behavior of the pandemic, the Secretariat reported that in the last 24 hours, 2,961 cases and 20 deaths were confirmed, bringing the total number of people with the disease to 7,761,617 and 327,750 deaths since February 2020.

He added that the number of people with active infection continues to fall. Today there are 141,588, most of them in Mexico City, Baja California Sur, Colima, San Luis Potosí, Tlaxcala, Coahuila, Querétaro, Sinaloa, Aguascalientes and Nuevo León.

The report adds that hospital occupancy remains at 16% for general beds and 5% for those with ventilators.
