The two countries reviewed the entire spectrum of bilateral relations, including political and defense exchanges, economic and trade issues, consular matters, cooperation in agriculture, health, energy and minerals, human resources, arts, culture, sports and the introduction of South African cheetahs in India, the Foreign Ministry said.
The two countries expressed satisfaction over the growth in bilateral trade, which reached $17 billion dollars in 2021-22.
South Africa expressed its support for India’s upcoming G20 presidency, which in turn assured its support for South Africa’s 2023 chairmanship of the Brics group, which also comprises Brazil, Russia and China.
The next round of consultations will be held in Pretoria.
