Cuba reports 131 new Covid-19 cases

Havana, Aug 4 (Prensa Latina) The Cuban Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP) reported on Thursday that 131 people were detected with Covid-19 and no one has died as a result of the disease in the last 24 hours.

It added that 2,845 samples were tested at the Molecular Biology laboratories nationwide to discover the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus.

Of 463 active cases, 451 have a stable clinical evolution, while 12 patients remain in intensive care units, one of them reported as critical and 11 in a serious condition.

MINSAP said that 93 patients were discharged, so the total number of recovered patients reached 1,99,441 since the outbreak of the pandemic in Cuba in March 2020, and 1,108,492 cases have been reported so far.

According to the official report, the death toll remains at 8,529.
