French court’s opinion on Venezuelan gold rejected in France

oro-vene
Paris, Aug 5 (Prensa Latina) French-Latin American solidarity movements and groups denounce the opinion by a British court that denies Venezuela access to gold reserves deposited in the Bank of England, the Embassy of the South American country highlighted here. In a communiqué, the diplomatic office states that a declaration that demands the return of the resources belonging to the Venezuelan people, to which several associations on French soil have already joined, is open for signature online.

The text repudiates the July 29 decision, by means of which old reserves are to be handed over to a “criminal puppet who enjoys no legitimacy, neither before the Venezuelan people nor the world; a lackey of Washington that has even openly called for a foreign military intervention in his country.”

The British Justice, in the voice of Judge Sara Cockerill, ruled in favor of the “ad hoc directive” of the Central Bank of Venezuela (BCV) appointed by former opposition legislator Juan Guaido, self-proclaimed interim president of the South American nation with the support by the United States.

About this issue, the legitimate directive of the BCV condemned the opinion subordinated to the United Kingdom’s foreign policy decisions and ratified that it violates constitutional and legal powers of that institution.
