Local authorities and the federal government present at the scene of the accident inspect the works day and night and have not stopped for a second since the news of the tragedy broke. More than 300 people and numerous teams are participating in the rescue.

It is difficult to know if they are alive because there is no communication with them, and 30 of the 57 meters of the well are still covered with water, and the rescuers would have to go down through it when water decreases a little more.

On the other hand, time and the flood are key factors against the rescue task, and the miners have been in this situation since Wednesday and their status is unknown.

Although almost twenty pumps are being used to reduce the flood and some water inlets have been closed, there are still leaks, the experts and rescuers bitterly said, while the despaiof relatives camping around the well grows.

President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador is following up the work minute by minute and encouraging the anguished relatives.
