Number of hospitalized patients due to fire in Cuba decreases

Havana, Aug 9 (Prensa Latina) The Cuban Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP) reported on Tuesday that 19 people are hospitalized and 106 have been discharged after a fire in the Supertanker Base in the western city of Matanzas.

According to MINSAP, 125 patients were treated and 19 are hospitalized, five of them in a critical condition, two in a serious condition and 12 in care.

The patients are treated in six Cuban hospitals and so far 106 patients have been discharged, including 100 men and six women.

The fire occurred last Friday night when a lightning hit a crude storage tank at the Supertanker Base in Matanzas.

The flames swept through a second tank, reaching a third one.
