On Twitter, the Cuban representative to New Zealand, Cook Islands and Niue described the meeting as pleasant, at which, he confirmed, they also reviewed current international issues.
Cuba and Niue officially established diplomatic ties in September 2014 in the context of the 3rd International Conference of Small Island Developing States.
During the ceremony, then Prime Minister of Niue Toke Tufukia Talagi thanked the Cuban Government for its decision to establish relations with his country, and noted that this step made it possible to initiate cooperation between the two countries.
