Tel Aviv´s military actions affected civilian airports and damaged radar stations, navigation devices and other facilities, the director general of Civil Aviation, Basem Mansour, quoted by the al-Watan daily, said.

According to the official, the country lost 70% of the revenues that it earned from civil aviation before the war in 2011, either in exchange for landing, take-off or airspace transit services, equivalent to about 50 million annually.

The losses exceeded 480 million dollars during the years of the unjust war, without counting the damages caused by terrorist and Israeli attacks against airport facilities, the executive explained.

On the other hand, he denounced the difficulties generated by the blockade that prevent the recovery of this sector, however, Syrian technicians and specialists managed to restore the service at the airports, and thus achieve revenues worth about 100 million annually since 2018.
