Cuba: 22 people injured in Matanzas fire remain in hospitals

Havana Aug 13 (Prensa Latina) Twenty-two patients are hospitalized as a result of the fire that occurred on August 5 in the Supertanker Base in the western Cuban city of Matanzas.

According to the official report from the Cuban Ministry of Public Health (Minsap), 108 patients, including 102 men and six women, were discharged from hospital.

Minsap added that four people are in a critical condition, four in a serious condition and 14 in care.

The Ministry informed that a team of specialists from the Ministry of the Interior (Minint) and Minsap, made up of criminal instructors, forensic experts, forensic doctors, anthropologists and forensic stomatologists, continue searching for the missing persons at the site of the incident.

The fire occurred on Friday night, August 5, when a lightning during a storm hit a crude oil tank at the Matanzas Supertanker Base.
