USA for prolonging conflict in Ukraine to maintain its hegemony

Putin-conflicto-en-Ucrania
Moscow, Aug 16 (Prensa Latina) The President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin affirmed that the United States is trying to prolong the conflict in Ukraine, while fueling potential conflicts in other regions of the world, in order to "maintain its hegemony."

“Russia launched the military operation in Ukraine to guarantee its security and that of its citizens and protect the residents of Donbass from genocide,” the president stressed, referring to the ongoing hostilities, in statements during the X International Security Conference held this Tuesday in Moscow.

Putin reiterated that the West, for its part, for hegemonic purposes, “has prepared the fate of cannon fodder for the Ukrainian people” “turning a blind eye to the spread of neo-Nazi ideology.”

As one of the most recent attempts by Washington to undermine the security of other states, Putin mentioned the controversial visit of the president of the House of Representatives of the United States, Nancy Pelosi, to Taiwan, which he called “a carefully planned provocation “.

“It is not just a trip of a single irresponsible politician, but it is part of a deliberate and premeditated strategy of the White House to destabilize and cause chaos in the region and in the world,” he emphasized.

Putin stressed that by acting in this way, Western elites are trying to distract their own citizens’ attention from acute socio-economic problems, and thus blame their failures on other countries such as Russia or China.

He also stressed that Moscow and Beijing defend their points of view by building a sovereign development policy without submitting to the dictates of the supremacist elites. He also stated that the collective West intends to extend to the Asia-Pacific region its system of blocs similar to the North Atlantic Treaty Organization in Europe, for which they are forming aggressive political-military alliances such as AUKUS.
