On his Twitter account, the head of State celebrated this event and extolled the work of Cuban scientists, medical personnel and the people.
At a meeting of the Government’s Working Group on Tuesday, First Deputy Minister of Public Health Tania Margarita Cruz said that the lethality rate since the outbreak of the epidemic in Cuba is 0.77 percent, accounting for 8,529 deaths. Cruz noted that five patients, two critical and three serious, are in intensive care units.
According to the Ministry of Public Health, at the end of last week there was a 17.3-percent decrease in the number of positive cases, with 127 fewer cases, and 84 fewer active cases from one week to the next.
