This humanitarian action, managed by the Russian Center for Reconciliation of the Parties involved in the Conflict, included the distribution of five tons of basic foodstuff to the residents in that complex, which houses hundreds of families displaced by terrorism.

According to the head of humanitarian assistance at the center, First Lieutenant Alexander Vidoviof, 450 baskets were offered, each containing nearly 10 kilograms of wheat flour, tea, oil and canned food.

The director of the Refugee Center, Imad Khatib, told reporters that this aid reflects the cooperation and friendship between Syria and Russia, and contributes to alleviating the hardships of those displaced as a result of terrorism and the unjust blockade.

According to Moscow, the Russian Army’s assistance to Syria contributed to the liberation of 90 percent of its territory from terrorism.

In addition, more than 3,500 humanitarian aid operations have been carried out since 2015, including some 600,000 tons of food, medicines and basic materials.
