DNCD seizes 565 packages of cocaine in Dominican Republic

Santo Domingo, Aug 24 (Prensa Latina) The National Drug Control Directorate (DNCD) on Wednesday seized as many as 565 packages of cocaine close to the coast of the Dominican province of Peravia.

The seizure was part of a police raid conducted by the DNCD in collaboration with agents of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, the Dominican Navy and the Air Force.

According to DNCD´s latest report, the illegal batch was stashed away in 18 sacks inside a boat several miles off Punta Salinas, in Baní.

During the raids, the police busted two Dominicans who will be brought to justice in coming few hours.
