The ceremonies organized on the first day of classes included musical recitals, recreational activities, tree planting, among other events aimed at encouraging students to become more involved in the teaching process.
According to the Minister of Education, Darem Tabbaa, 13,660 educational centers of various levels received 3,652,000 children under 18 years of age.
The process is going well despite many challenges such as the withdrawal from service of 8,733 schools due to the actions of terrorists during the war, he said.
He revealed that 3,000 schools have been rehabilitated so far and the plan for the next school year includes rebuilding 400 teaching facilities with the aim of accommodating students and reducing classroom density, Tabbaa said.
