Tribute in Italy to Di Celmo, victim of terrorism against Cuba

Rome, Sep 4 (Prensa Latina) The National Association of Italy-Cuba Friendship (Anaic) paid tribute to Fabio Di Celmo, a young man from this country who died 25 years ago victim of a terrorist act against the Caribbean nation.

The Anaic delegation in the Liguria region held an emotional act of remembrance at the Genoa-Aranzano cemetery, where the remains of Di Celmo, who died in Havana on September 4, 1997, at the age of 32, after detonating a bomb at the Copacabana Hotel, rest.

In a statement issued by the association on Sunday, it is recalled that the main perpetrator of that attack, counterrevolutionary Luis Posada Carriles, who admitted his crime, was never prosecuted and died at liberty in the United States, protected by the U.S. government.
