Quintero commented that the film festival was coordinated with the Vitry-sur-Seine Committee and the Cuban Institute of Cinematographic Art and Industry (Icaic).

For his part, Fernández highlighted the importance that CubaCoop attaches to cultural ties in its objective of accompanying the socioeconomic development of the Antillean nation with concrete projects.

Mayor Bell-Lloch was pleased to host the June 2023 event and the space will get closer to a country on the other side of the Atlantic, which is waging a fight against hegemony and imperialism.

Sánchez thanked the initiative and insisted on the importance of cinema, and of culture in general, to strengthen ties between peoples.
