“South-South and triangular cooperation are vital for developing countries to mitigate and adapt to climate change, address the global health contingency, including recovery from Covid-19, and achieve the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs),” said the head of the United Nations (UN).
He urged wealthier states to work constructively with the developing world, “especially to reduce the growing inequalities between and within nations.”
He also encouraged “all nations and communities to redouble collaboration and build bridges to achieve an equitable and sustainable future for all.”
South-South and triangular cooperation must be at the heart of our preparations for a robust recovery, as well as for building more resilient economies and societies, the Secretary-General said.
