“Exchange with Washington was very good, it was always one of the 10 most important trade partners for our country, but unfortunately it has ceased to be,” Ivin told Sputnik agency.

In this regard, Ivin added that China is currently holding a leading position, accounting for one-fifth of Moscow’s trade with the rest of the world.

Ivin also assured that trade with EU member states is also decreasing, “although the European bloc as a whole is quite important, even more than that of China”, said Ivin.

The executive also argued that Russia’s second-largest trading partner is the Netherlands, as it is an important distribution center for energy agents, followed by Turkey, Germany, Belarus, South Korea, Italy, France, Kazakhstan and India.

With regard to New Delhi, Ivin pointed out it “actively imports energy and chemical products, while increasing pharmaceuticals and foodstuffs exports”.
