Installed at the Wifredo Lam Contemporary Art Center, the show brings Martinez’s creative processes closer to the public, while at the same time it questions and discusses the traditional paradigms around the conception of objects and their re-signification, according to the presentation of the project.
Available until November 16, the exhibition refers to the image, concept and content of books through a series of articles and sculptures created in different materials and formats, while inviting visitors to rediscover the magical universe of texts, compared to the “dystopian present” starring the Internet.
In that sense stands out works such as The Library of Babel, inspired by the book of the same name by Jorge Luis Borges, of which some fragments are reproduced in a small model of one of the cells of this type of cultural institution, reports the Wifredo Lam Center from the social network Facebook.
