Putin and Pashinian talked about the Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict

Moscow, Sep 16 (Prensa Latina) Russian President Vladimir Putin and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinian talked about the confrontation on the border between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

According to the Armenian press service report, Pashinian stressed that the situation ‘remains very tense because of Azerbaijan’s aggression against the sovereign territory of Armenia, although the situation on the border is relatively calm’.

According to the statement, the two leaders had the telephone dialogue, after Armenia asked for assistance from the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO).

For its part, the Armenian Defense Ministry said that the CSTO specialists arrived in Yerevan to monitor the situation on the border with Azerbaijan.

During the night of September 12-13 the confrontation began in several sections of the border, both Armenia and Azerbaijan accuse each other for the outbreak of tension.
