According to a document, the amount disbursed during the first eight months of the year “is already well above cost observed each year since 2017, which was three and a half billion euros on average annually,” even though such assessment “does not include the effects of drought or some of damage to crops.¨
This rise is explained by a greater frequency of unusual weather phenomena at certain times of the year and also by the increased contruction material prices for repairs.
