Lebanese Resistance protects country’s rights to oil and gas

Beirut, Sep 19 (Prensa Latina) The Vice President of the Hezbollah Executive Council, Sheikh Ali Damoush, stressed that the Lebanese Islamic Resistance protects Lebanon's rights to its oil and gas as a means to counteract collapse.

Ali Damoush assured that the Resistance is in the forefront to defend and frustrate a war of any kind, by imposing the equation that allows Lebanon to invest in and extract oil in the face of the ambitions of Israel and the United States.

In a ceremony in the Bekka region, east of the capital, the Hezbollah leader denounced the US blockade of the country, by obstructing solutions to problems such as electricity, infrastructure, the devaluation of the national currency and the increase in fuel, medicine and food prices.

He emphasized the role and responsibility of the Resistance not only in preserving maritime rights in the demarcation of the border with Israel, but in its positions to lead the country out of the worst economic and financial crisis.

He rejected the campaigns, discussions and arguments against Hezbollah and against the criteria of building a strong, fair and sovereign State.

Ali Damoush also emphasized that the Resistance has assumed the commitment in all stages of the struggle against the Israeli occupation and aggression and is currently working to provide real solutions to the problems of the Lebanese.

He stressed that Hezbollah will not back down from this and will continue along the paths laid out for the benefit of Lebanon and its people, and asserted that “the method of threats and intimidation pursued by the enemy will not work.”
