Nicaragua thanks Cuba for congratulations on Independence Day

Managua, Sep 19 (Prensa Latina) The Nicaraguan Government on Monday thanked Cuba for congratulating it on the 201st anniversary of its national independence.

In messages sent to Army General Raul Castro and President Miguel Diaz-Canel, respectively, the Nicaraguan Government greeted both political leaders and the Cuban people.

“In these challenging times, we are living as a Human Family, aspiring to continue joining forces for a peaceful world, open to dialogue and mutual respect,” said the message signed by President Daniel Ortega and Vice President Rosario Murillo.

Moreover, the statement conveys the Sandinista Government’s recognition, solidarity, and love for Cuba and extends its best wishes of health and well-being to Raul, Diaz-Canel, and Cuban families.

Like the rest of Central American countries, Nicaragua celebrated Independence Day on September 15.
