Around 6,000 Russians lost their lives in the military operation

Moscow, Sep 21 (Prensa Latina) Russia's human losses during the military operation in Ukraine amounted to almost six thousand people, Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu said.

‘We have not talked about this for a long time, about our losses.

During the special operation we have lost 5,937 people,’ Shoigu said in an interview to the Russia-24 TV channel.

According to the Defense Minister, the servicemen are ‘bravely doing their duty’; he also highlighted the work of the doctors.

More than 90% of the wounded returned to duty’, he added.

Shoigu announced that 300,000 reservists will be called up from September 21 for partial mobilization.

Previously, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree for the partial mobilization of reservists in order to defend the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Eurasian nation.
