Moldovan president calls meeting of National Security Council

Chisinau, Sep 21 (Prensa Latina) Moldovan President Maia Sandu, who is at the United Nations, on Wednesday called a meeting of the National Security Council on Saturday to discuss the situation in Ukraine.

At Sandu’s proposal, they will discuss security in the region in the context of the conflict in Ukraine, according to a statement published on the official website of the president on Wednesday.

Russian President Vladimir Putin On Wednesday decreed the partial mobilization of reservists, especially those who have completed their military service and have relevant experience or a military profession.

The mobilization will begin on September 21 and, according to Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu, it is necessary to control the 1,000-kilometer line of contact and the liberated territories in Ukraine.

It will involve 300,000 people, which is less than 1 percent of Russians who could be called.
