New Family Code calls for cultural change in Cuba

Havana, Sep 21 (Prensa Latina) The new Family Code in Cuba calls for a cultural change, as confirmed on Wednesday by writer Victor Fowler in a meeting to analyze the new bill to be decided by people in four days.

According to the writer, the new code makes no sense whether it is seen as an imposition and is not interpreted as an issue that will be continuously multiplying and being timely addressed.

The storyteller referred to issues of marked controversy related to common-law unions, parental liability with respect to digital culture, progressive autonomy and the rights of caregiver.

According to Fowler, there is no way in any society to make a law that takes into account the plurality of families and does not influence the absolute social structure in the social, educational and other sectors.

If approved, the universes of education and public communication will change a lot because the Family Code fosters a future for a solidarity society and against violence in its most dissimilar forms and places, he assured.
