Person burned in Matanzas fire to undergo grafting treatment

Havana, Sep 22 (Prensa Latina) The Cuban Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP) informed on Thursday that a person burned in the fire that occurred in the Supertanker Base in the western city of Matanzas was readmitted to a hospital to undergo a graft.

The MINSAP reported that 146 people were injured in the incident, 10 of who are still hospitalized, 16 were killed and 120 patients have been discharged from the hospitals.

The grafting procedure will be performed at the Faustino Perez Surgical Clinical Hospital in Matanzas.

Of all 146 patients treated, 139 are men, and among those still in hospital, nine are men.

The MINSAP added that four people are reported as seriously ill and six are under care.
