According to the information received, in addition to the victims reported, there may be other people under the rubble of the market, Kulemzin stressed on his Telegram channel on Thursday.

So far this month, practically every day Ukrainian forces, displaced very close to the city of Donetsk, have bombed densely populated areas of the city, the capital of Donetsk province, with live artillery fire, the mayor added.

Russia has been carrying out a special military operation in Ukraine since February 24, claiming that the self-proclaimed Luhansk and Donetsk People’s Republics needed, as they denounced, help in the face of Kiev’s genocide.

Luhansk and Donetsk became independent from Ukraine in May 2014, after failing to recognize the new authorities that resulted from a coup d’état in February 2014.
