French deputy: Attempt to isolate Cuba makes no sense

Rodrigo-Arenas-300x200
Paris, Sep 23 (Prensa Latina) The deputy for La France Insoumise Rodrigo Arenas considered nonsense the attempt to isolate Cuba, a country with an internationalist vocation and which has been the victim of over 60 years of US blockade.

“We are in a multipolar world, in which trying to put Cuba out of the concert of nations does not make sense, because it has contributed a lot in supporting other countries in the face of current challenges such as health, and we recently saw it during the pandemic Covid-19,” he told Prensa Latina.

Arenas highlighted the internationalist projection of Cuba, which has sent thousands of doctors to dozens of nations on all continents in recent decades despite the blockade of the United States.

“I think of your help in Latin America, in Africa and around the planet,” stressed the deputy.

According to the parliamentarian, what should prevail between the countries is cooperation and solidarity, a position that he considered in tune with the 21st century and the need not to live in a world of blocs.
