Participants in the events for the decade of the Habanos Club visited its famous vineyards and the “Meyseri” beverage complex, where they combined local wine with Cuban cigars, Cuban Ambassador to Azerbaijan Carlos Valdes told Prensa Latina.

The Cuban diplomat congratulated the club members for their contribution to promoting Cuban cigars in Azerbaijani society and highlighted the work of the group’s president, Emin Rasulov, who is also an active member of the friendship association with Cuba in Baku.

Valdes pointed out that the Habanos S.A. corporation is a world leader in the marketing of premium cigars, both in Cuba and in the rest of the world, and that the event undoubtedly becomes a tribute to the world’s best cigars.

The diplomat took advantage of the meeting to thank Azerbaijan and the friends present for their historic support for condemning the United States blockade and for their fraternal stance, also rejecting the media campaigns against the Cuban Revolution.
